hi,
I am wondering if that's really 8 rays in that "star sapphire" or if it's just a trick of multiple lighting sources or something else...
For what it's worth, the underside does look an awful lot like the black star sapphire that I have... not that it really means much.
Also, that hardness of 6 is certainly bizarre, I don't really know what to make of that.
